Lesson One Hundred: Equivalent Fractions and Decimals

As you will recall equivalent fractions can be written in a lot of different ways. Take these for example: 


	1/2 = 2/4 = 3/6 = 4/8 = 5/10 = 6/12 = 7/14 = 8/16
No matter how you write it, however, 1/2 always equals .5. So, 3/6 equals .5, just as 4/8 equals .5.

Here are some more decimals and the fractions which they are equivalent to: 


  .25 = 1/4 = 2/8 = 3/12 = 4/16 = 5/20 = 6/24 = 7/28 = 8/32

  .6 = 3/5 = 6/10 = 9/15 = 12/20 = 15/25 = 18/30 = 21/35
