Here is a group of 25 balls.

This time there are 6 magenta balls, 3 blue balls, 1 red ball, 7 green balls, and 8 yellow balls.

We can answer questions like about this group of balls:


  1) What is the probability of selecting a green ball?
     ANSWER: 7 out of 23

  2) Which color ball are we most likely to pull out?
     ANSWER: yellow

  3) What is the probability of pulling out a ball which is magenta or red?
     ANSWER:  There are 6 magenta balls and 1 red ball which
              means that there are 7 balls which are either
              red or magenta. ANSWER: 7 out of 25.
