Lesson One Hundred-Sixteen: Fraction Division


When dividing a fraction by a fraction you follow these steps:


	ORIGINAL PROBLEM: 1/4 ÷ 1/3 =

	FLIP and CHANGE OPERATOR: 1/4 * 3/1 = 

	MULTIPLY: 1/4 * 3/1 = 3/4

	ENGLISH: How many one-thirds can you divide into
		 one-fourth? ANSWER: You can get three-fourths
		 of one-third into one-fourth.

Here's another example:

	ORIGINAL PROBLEM: 1/6 ÷ 1/3 =

	FLIP and CHANGE OPERATOR: 1/6 * 3/1 = 

	REDUCE (if possible):  1/2 * 1/1 = 

	MULTIPLY: 1/2 * 1/1 = 1/2

	ENGLISH: One-half of one-third can fit into one-sixth.
