Lesson One Hundred Seventy-three: Volume of Boxes



The volume of a box is a measure of its capacity and is measured in cubic units. Take a look at the following box:


      

To find the volume of this box use the following formula:

	V = height * width * length

Plugging in the numbers for each dimension we get:

	V = 5 * 4 * 4 = 80 cubic units

Here's another example:

  Find the volume of this box:

      

  V =  6 * 3 * 10 = 180 cubic units
