We can also represent division problems with pictures:

The picture shows a large rectangle six squares tall and four squares wide with
a total of 24 squares. This means that there are six rows each containing four
squares.
Here's another example:

32 / 4 = 8
|
The picture shows a large rectangle four squares tall and eight squares wide
with a total of 32 squares. This means that there are four rows each
containing eight squares.
