We can also represent multiplication problems with pictures:

The picture shows a large rectangle six cubes tall and four cubes wide. If
you count all the cubes you will find that there are 24 of them.
Here's another example:

4 x 8 = 32

The picture shows a large rectangle four cubes tall and eight cubes wide. If
you count all the cubes you will find that there are 32 of them.
