Lesson Ninety: Wholes and Percents

Percents are just like decimals when it comes to multiplication:

	.7 * 70 = 49
	70% * 70 = 49

You just have to remember that 70% equals .7 and so the following steps will help you to multiply percents and wholes:

	1. Convert the percent into a decimal
	2. Multiply the decimal and the whole

Here are some examples:

	50% * 20 =

	ANSWER: 10

  ------------

	2) multiply .2 * 100
	ANSWER: 20
