Lesson Twenty-nine: Converting Feet and Inches

There are twelve inches in a foot. With this fact in mind, we can make the following chart: 


	INCHES		FEET
	  12		  1
	  24		  2
	  36		  3
	  48		  4
	  60		  5
	  72		  6
	  84		  7
	  96		  8
	 108		  9
	 120		 10
You probably noticed the multiples of twelve listed under inches. If you know your multiples of twelve, then converting inches to feet and feet to inches should be pretty easy. 

	How many inches are there in 5 feet?
To answer this question all we have to do is multiply 5 and 12 which is, of course, 60. 

	How many feet are there in 48 inches?
To answer this question all we have to do is divide 48 by 12 which is, of course, 4.
