Arithmetic Grade Five

Lesson One hundred and Twenty-five: Converting Decimals to Fractions

Converting decimals to fractions is really easy. When you pronounce the value .7 you either say "point seven" or else you say "seven tenths." This second way of saying this value gives you a pretty good clue as to how you would write the value as a fraction. Study these examples:

	.7  =  7/10			.9  =  9/10

        .2  =  2/10			.1  =  1/10

By this point you probably get the idea and so now it is time for you to do a few yourself.
