Information:
Look at this subtraction chain problem:


     35 - 3 - 8 - 7 - 5

The usual way of solving this problem is to solve it one step at a time starting from the left and working right, like this:


    35 - 3 = 32
    32 - 8 = 24
    24 - 7 = 17
    17 - 5 = 12

Here's another problem for you to study:


     82 - 16 - 18 - 12 - 7

  Solving it from left to right:

     82 - 16 = 66
     66 - 18 = 48
     48 - 12 = 36
     36 - 7  = 29
