Lesson Forty-seven: Two Column Multiplication

Inspect this multiplication problem: 

      83
    x 75 
   ------
The first partial product is 5 x 83 = 415
The second partial product is 70 x 83 = 5810
The total product is 415 + 5810 = 6225

Here's another example: 


      94
    x 67 
   ------
The first partial product is 7 x 94 = 658
The second partial product is 60 x 94 = 5640
The total product is 658 + 5640 = 6298
