Lesson Seventy-two: Decimal Division

Here's another example: 

		   .23

  1. Divide: 11 into 25
  2. Multiply: 2 * 11 = 22
  3. Subtract: 25 - 22 = 3
  4. Bring Down: 3
  5. Divide: 11 into 33
  6. Multiply: 3 * 11 = 33
  7. Subtract: 33 - 33 = 0

Here's another example. This one has a remainder. 

            .64
     	 +----                 
       5 | 3.20                1. Divide 5 into 32 
           30		       2. Multiply 5 x 6 = 30
          ----                 3. Subract 32 - 30 = 2
            20                 4. Bring down the 0
            20                 5. Divide 5 into 20
           ----                6. Multiply 5 x 4 = 20
             0                 7. Subtract 20 - 20 = 0
