Lesson One hundred and seventy-seven: MISSING SYMBOLS

We've looked at examples involving missing plus and minus signs. Now we take a look at some examples missing multiplication and division signs.

        5 __ 5 = 25

You can quickly recognize that the missing symbol is a multiplication sign since the only way the answer could be 25 is to multiply the two fives.

Here are some more examples.

      PROBLEM MISSING SYMBOL
    -------------------+------------------------
      5 __ 2 = 10 | x
      10 __ 2 = 5 | /
      10 __ 2 = 20 | x
      21 __ 3 = 7 | /
      45 __ 15 = 3 | /
      6 __ 7 = 42 | x
                       |

Now you get to try a few of these yourself.
