Lesson One hundred and twenty: Decimal Word Problems

Here is a simple word story problem involving the addition of decimal values: 


     Jane had $1.23 and Jill had $2.22.
     How much money did Jane and Jill
     have together?

     To solve this problem you just add up the values:

        $1.23
      + $2.22
     ----------
        $3.45
