We can represent the addition problem 43 + 25 in a grid like this:
Study the grid shown above as you think about each of these math
statements:
- 43 = 40 + 3
- 25 = 20 + 5
- 40 + 20 = 60
- 3 + 5 = 8
- 60 + 8 = 68
