  FIND THE LCM OF 6 and 9:

  STEP ONE: List some multiples of each number.

    6: 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42.
    9: 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63.

  STEP TWO: Find the first match.

       18

It takes practice to get good at finding LCMs.


  FIND THE LCM OF 12 and 8:

  STEP ONE: List some multiples of each number.

    12: 12, 24, 36, 48, 60.
     8: 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48.

  STEP TWO: Find the first match.

       24
