Lesson Eighty-four: Subtracting Fractions

Subtracting fractions with like denominators is just a matter of subtracting the numerators. You leave the denominators the same, just as you do when adding.

Subtract Fractions: Numerators and Denominators
Numerator: Just subtract the top numbers.

Denominator: Leave the bottom numbers alone.

Here's an example:

15 5 10 ---- - ---- = ---- 24 24 24
