The following table compares the value of different fractions.

From this table it is clear that 1/6 is less than 1/2 and that 1/5 is
greater than 1/10. In general, the bigger the denominator, the smaller the
fraction. It's just like with a pizza: The more pieces there are, the
smaller each piece is. If you have two pizzas the same size and the first is cut
into 6 equal pieces and the second is cut into 10 equal pieces, then a piece
from the first will be bigger than a piece from the second.
