Lesson Fifty-one: Division Facts

Before we get into division, let's double check to make sure that you know your basic division facts. Take a look at these problems. 

     20 / 5 = 4		30 / 10 = 3		24 / 8 = 3

     42 / 6 = 7		45 / 9 = 5		27 / 9 = 3
All these basic facts should look familiar. If you have difficulty with them, remember that there is a related multiplication fact for each division fact. 

   BASIC DIVISION FACT		RELATED MULTIPLICATION FACT

 	20 / 5 = 4			5 x 4 = 20

 	30 / 10 = 3			10 x 3 = 30

	24 / 8 = 3			8 x 3 = 24

	42 / 6 = 7			6 x 7 = 42

	45 / 9 = 5			9 x 5 = 45

	27 / 9 = 3			9 x 3 = 27
