Lesson One hundred fifty-nine: Converting Decimals to Fractions


Converting decimals to fractions is really easy. When you pronounce the value .17 you either say "point seventeen" or else you say "seventeen hundredths." This second way of saying this value gives you a pretty good clue as to how you would write the value as a fraction. Study these examples:

	.17  =  17/100			.91  =  91/100

        .23  =  23/100			.51  =  51/100

You can see that this is not terribly complicated.
