Lesson One hundred fifty-one: Subtracting Fractions
Subtracting fractions is easy as long as the two fractions you're subtracting have the
same denominator (bottom number). If both fractions have the same denominator,
all you have to do is subtract the top numbers. Here is an example:
Subtracting Fractions With Like Denominators
- Numerator: Just subtract the top numbers.
- Denominator: Leave the bottom numbers alone.
