Lesson One hundred forty-nine: Comparing Fractions


The general rule to remember is that the larger the denominator, the smaller each part of the fraction. Take a look at the pictures in these examples to see how this works.


  

  

  

As you can see in the last example, the size of one-sixth and one-seventh is very close, but one-sixth is larger than one-seventh.
