Take a look at these two sample problems:

  PROBLEM:
   A. 3 + 6 =
   B. 6 ÷ 2 =
   C. 2 + 5 =
   D. 3 x 3 =

  ANSWER: The only problem which
   has an answer of 7 is C.

  TARGET: 4

  PROBLEM:
   A. 3 x 3 =
   B. 1 + 5 =
   C. 2 + 5 =
   D. 16 ÷ 4 =

  ANSWER: The only problem which
   has an answer of 4 is D.

Take a look at these problem and decide why some are true and some are false: 


    3 x 3 = 9   ---> TRUE

    3 + 2 = 1   ---> FALSE

    3 + 10 = 11 ---> FALSE

    4 ÷ 4 = 1  ---> TRUE
