Arithmetic Grade Two

Lesson Fifty-eight: Comparing Statements

Comparing Statements

There are symbols which can be used to compare two statements:

  > GREATER THAN
  < LESS THAN
  = EQUAL

Here are some examples showing how these symbols can be used:

   44 - 10 > 33 - 20 41 - 5 < 80 - 11

   66 - 20 = 56	- 10 40 - 12 > 22 - 10

Figure out the answer to each of the following:

	56 - 33 (>) 49 - 38

	46 - 29 (<) 59 - 16

	67 - 39 (=) 57 - 29

	56 - 29 (>) 38 - 21

Highlight between parentheses to see answers.
