Arithmetic Grade Two

Lesson Seventy-one: Money

Money: Dollars

When you are dealing with 100 or more cents, you change the way you write the amount. Instead of 100¢, you write $1.00. You need both the dollar sign and the decimal point. The decimal point goes between the dollar amount and the cents.

   TOTAL: $2.31

You say $2.31 like this: "Two dollars and thirty-one cents."
