TIME: 3:30 --> 3 thirty (or half past three)
Notice that when it is three o'clock that the long hand (the minute hand) is
pointing straight at the twelve and the short hand (the hour hand) is
pointing straight at the three.
Now notice that when it is three thirty that the minute hand is pointing
straight at the six and the hour hand is half way between the three and the
four.
