Halves, Thirds, and Fourths
Halves --> 2 equal parts
Thirds --> 3 equal parts
Fourths --> 4 equal parts
NOTE: Explain that halves have two equal parts, thirds have three equal parts, and fourths have four equal parts. Point out how each term is spelled and make sure that the student can identify each term. Draw a few pictures showing shapes divided into two, three, or four equal parts and have the student identify them as halves, thirds, or fourths.
