Take Away

You start with 10 and take away 7. How many are left? ANSWER: 3
You start with 14 and take away 7. How many are left? ANSWER: 7

NOTE: Draw some pictures like the ones shown above for the student and have the student count the objects (dots in these examples) and figure out the answer to the subtraction problem represented by the pictures. Once the student is pretty good at subtracting seven, go on to the applet.
