Using this chart we can answer questions like: 

  RED + YELLOW = 3

  GREEN + BLUE = 6

  BLACK + GREEN = 4
NOTE: Show the student how to figure out the height of each rectangle in the graph shown on this page. Explain that it is possible to add the heights of two rectangles as shown in the bottom part of this page.
