Prepositions are words that indicate the relationship of one word to another. Here are some examples with the prepositions underlined: 

	Jill went go the store with Harry.

	Doug is standing by the big oak tree.

	Harry received a letter from Kris.

	Harry placed his snake in the terrarium.
