Word Families
Here's an example of what we call a word family in this lesson:
jump
jumps
jumping
jumped
jumper
A word family includes all the variations of the word which can be obtained
by changing the ending suffix to the root word.
Here's another example:
grow
grows
growing
growth
grown
grower
Notice that "grew" is not on the list since the root word must be changed
and only forms of the word with a suffix added onto the root word are part
of the word family.
