Helping Verbs
Helping verbs can also be used all by themselves (without another verb)
in sentences. Here are some
examples:
Joe is six feet tall.
They are all over five years old.
I am cold.
Most often, however, helping verbs are used with other verbs.
Jill can drink all she wants.
Harry should write a letter to her.
Carl might listen if you explain yourself.
