Order Words

There are several words which help to signal the order in which events occur in a written passage. Here is another short paragraph with some more commonly used order words. 


	  Jill had to make her own dinner last night. First
	she looked around in the kitchen until she found
	some peanut butter and jelly. Afterward she searched
	for some bread. Eventually she had what she needed
	to make a sandwich. Later she was able to enjoy a
	delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Here is a list of the words which were underlined in the above short paragraph: 

	first			until			afterward

	eventually		later
These are five more commonly used order words.
