Conjunctions

Conjunctions are words which connect words and phrases. Conjunctions are used a lot and you should be aware of them. The most common conjunctions are: 


	and		or		but

        if		because		as soon as
Here are three sentences containing conjunctions: 

  Bob and Sam are going to the meeting.

  Jill will watch TV or listen to music.

  Jimmy saw a UFO, but he won't tell anyone.
