Homophones

Homophones are two words which sound the same, but are spelled differently (and almost always also have different meanings). Here are some examples: 


	dear	deer
	four	fore	for
	two	too	to
	hair	hare
	pair	pear
	their	they're	there
	I	eye
	knew	new
	red	read
	lead	led
It can be a fun challenge to think of as many homophone pairs (and sometimes triplets) as you can. There are probably hundreds of homophone pairs in the English language.

Here are some sentences which include some homophone pairs. 


  I itched my eye.

  On the table were a pair of pears.

  I have four questions for you.
