Measurement Words

Measurement can be using a lot of different units. Here are a bunch of examples:


VOLUME: quarts, gallons, cups, ounces, pints, etc.

SPEED: usually miles per hour

LENGTH: feet, inches, yards, miles, etc.

TEMPERATURE: degrees

WEIGHT: pounds, ounces, tons, etc.
 
The examples given above are of English units. Below are some metric units.

  VOLUME: milliliters, liters, etc.

  SPEED: kilometers per hour

  LENGTH: millimeters, centimeters, meters, kilometers, etc.

  TEMPERATURE: degrees

  WEIGHT: milligrams, grams, kilograms, etc.

NOTE: Temperature is usually measured in degrees, but there are different scales which can be used.
