Irregular Verbs
For some regular verbs that end in y (without a vowel in front of the y)
you just drop the y and add ied.
PRESENT PAST
scurry scurried
hurry hurried
carry carried
study studied
To change these verbs from present to past tense you just drop the y and add
-ied. Remember that a verb like play (which has a vowel before the y)
follows the add -ed rule (played). Here are some more irregular verbs.
