Verb Tense
Verbs can be used to show when something happened. In this unit we were only
concerned with verbs which are in the present or past tense. Here is an
example:
Frank ate all the hot dogs.
Frank is eating all the hot dogs.
In the first sentence Frank already ate all the hot dogs. In the second
sentence Frank is still eating them. In each sentence Frank is eating (since
ate is the past tense form of eat). The only difference is when he is doing
the eating.

Synonyms are words that mean the same thing. Here are some synonym pairs.
