Arithmetic - Whole Number Operations - Dot Multiplication

One way to visually represent a multiplication problem is to draw an array of dots matching the two numbers being multiplied as shown in these examples:

To find the answer, you just count up the dots!

NOTE: Draw arrays for the following problems: 3x2, 2x1, and 2x5. A problem with this method is that drawing dot arrays for problems like 12x20 takes a lot of time.
