Counting

When counting numbers people usually say the numbers in a certain order. This order is usually from least to greatest. If someone counts up to five and then asks you what number comes next you would answer as shown in this example: 


        What digit comes next?

          1, 2, 3, 4, 5, _

          ANSWER: 6
The next number is the one that follows the last number in the sequence. 

        What digit comes next?

          1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, _

          ANSWER: 8
NOTE: In the next applet students will input answers using the computer keyboard. The numbers above the letters must be used since the numeric keypad will not be recognized.
