Time In Five Minute Intervals

What time is it?

  TIME: 5:55

The hour hand is between the five and the six and
so you know it is five something. To find out how many
minutes past five it is you count by five until you
get to eleven (where the minute hand is pointing) and
	you get 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55.

TIME: 11:15 The hour hand is just past the eleven. The minute hand is on the three. So count by fives three times and you get 5, 10, 15.
You need to notice that the hour hand moves as the minute hand moves. It just moves A LOT slower. In the time the minute hand goes all the way around the face of the clock, the hour hand moves from one number to the next.
